Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TypeRealm ("the Game", "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One person may create multiple characters but only one account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to play the game or gain an unfair advantage
  • Exploit bugs or glitches instead of reporting them
  • Manipulate typing metrics, submit fraudulent battle results, or bypass anti-cheat systems
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
  • Use offensive or impersonating usernames
  • Attempt to access other players' accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

3. Virtual Currency & Purchases

3.1 Gems

Gems are a virtual currency purchased with real money via Stripe. Gems can be used to buy in-game items and features. Gems have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

3.2 Gold

Gold is an in-game currency earned through gameplay. Gold cannot be purchased with real money and has no real-world monetary value.

3.3 Refunds

All purchases of Gems are final. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances (e.g., accidental duplicate purchase, technical failure where items were not delivered). Contact support@typerealm.com for refund requests.

3.4 Price Changes

We may change the prices of Gems or in-game items at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.

4. User Content

Your username, profile bio, and activity feed posts are visible to other players. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The game's code, design, art, sound effects, and game mechanics are owned by TypeRealm. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

6. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or permanently ban your account if you violate these Terms, including but not limited to cheating, abuse, or fraudulent purchases. If your account is terminated for a Terms violation, you forfeit all virtual currency and items.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep TypeRealm available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily take the Service offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TypeRealm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of TypeRealm after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
